Israeli Army meeting discussed future measures in Lebanon

Representatives of the Israeli army met up this week in a confidential follow-up meeting in the Knesset, where they presented solutions and planned measures to counter the threat from Hezbollah, and a statement was published on the steps the army have been advised to take.

Weapon Improvement:

Improving the personal weapons of fighters to increase their ability to target drones, including special cameras and fragmentation ammunition that can be fired to increase the probability of hitting the drone.

Helicopters landing for less time:

Reducing the time helicopters spent on the ground inside Lebanese territory was advised, so that their presence during the evacuation of the wounded is minimised, to reduce the possibility of them being identified and targeted by Hezbollah.

Deployment of radars:

Israel have carried out extensive deployments of various types of radars inside the Lebanese territory, as the army representatives announced at the confidential meeting that the yellow line is now considered the new defensive line that must be protected, therefore various radars must be deployed in the area.

Drone nets and aerial safety:

The installation of nets are required at fixed points and defensive positions, designed to catch drones before they reach their target.

Further cooperation:

Joint cooperation with the Research and Development Administration in the Ministry of Defence to develop additional technological solutions.

According to Israel, these measures have been implemented in the field already, but it seems they are too little, too late, therefore, Hezbollah must be informed of the latest method through Iran’s combat research centres, and with more training and the application of creativity and initiative, it can inflict serious damage on the invading army.
