Rezaei talks about the current situation to Al Jazeera

Major General Mohsen Rezaei in an interview with Al Mayadeen TV:

“The Islamic Republic was formed and began through the fight against the arrogant and the political struggle against the United States.
About two years ago or more, the United States turned its political war against us into a military war.

After about 45 years, our war against “Israel” and the United States has turned into a military war.

We will not allow the United States to end the matter by fleeing the region.
America, in the new circumstances of opening the Strait of Hormuz, wants to stage a dramatic act and then escape from the region, and we will not allow that.

This is the battlefield, and we must reach a final outcome in dealing with the Americans and reap our achievements from this war.

They must compensate us for the losses we have incurred, and we will certainly get our rights and losses.

We, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey must continue our progress in an independent region.

Now I say this war, as it is foolish, it is also ignorant.

The Americans wanted to achieve a victory and escape, but the road ahead of them is blocked, and they cannot go back.

This strait has 4 sides, 3 of which are controlled by Iran and one side by Oman, so we can say that it passes through Iranian territory.

In the 12-day war and the recent war, the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf were used against us.

Our primary goal in the Strait of Hormuz is to establish security for Iran and the entire Persian Gulf region.

If the Strait of Hormuz once again falls out of Iran’s control and management, the enemy will use it again against Iran and the Iranian people.

We try not to deviate from international controls and rules, while the enemy will deviate from them.

We try to ensure that the military confrontation against the United States and “Israel” does not affect humanitarian affairs and ordinary people.

The Iranian war has a humanitarian message and a message of resistance, and therefore we accepted that negotiations would be alongside the war.

They carried out a failed military coup in Iran, and we could have also stopped all negotiations with the United States.”
