Israel appear to have an alternate plan for Ali Al-Taher – bomb the absolute crap out of it

⚡️ Residents of Galilea in northern Israel were sent messages around 11pm informing them that there would be audible explosions due to Israeli forces activity in southern Lebanon overnight, and not to be alarmed.

🔹 Following the warning, Israeli jets were reported over Syrian airspace at around 11:45pm, appearing to have a midnight start time for the operation that would bomb the absolute crap out of the ridge, in attempts to eliminate Hezbollah positions and tunnel entrances.

🔹 Israel’s onslaught on the ridge began just after midnight and lasted for around ten hours, with explosions still reported from the area and aerial activity above southern Lebanon at around 11am, according to local media and Telegram intel sites.

🔹 Merkava tanks were deployed in the Biyada area and targeted the town of Al-Amsouri, while flares were launched on the outskirts of Kfar Roummans, and artillery shelling was reported between Nabatieyeh al-Fouqa and Kfarrouman, as well as on the outskirts of Wadi Zebine in the Tyre district.

🔹 Phosphorous shelling was first reported targeting the Dabsha heights in southern Lebanon, and around two hours later, several airstrikes struck Ali Al-Taher Ridge, while heavy artillery targeted the Jabal al-Rafee mountain on the outskirts of the town of Sjed.

🔹 The IDF released a statement claiming to have eliminated Abu Hassan Ala, a prominent leader in Hezbollah’s Badr unit, in the strike that hit Deir Al-Zaharn area on Saturday, alleging that Ala was involved in planning and carrying out attacks against Israeli forces operating in the security zone, including the use of explosive drones.

🔹 According to the IDF, the killing will affect the Badr unit’s operational capabilities and followed the elimination of Ali Samir Haj Hassan, a Radwan Force company commander killed at a post in Ansar, stating that the IDF will continue to ‘act against what it considers threats to Israeli forces and civilians.’

🔹 However, despite the constant bombardment, including hundreds of plane-launched bombs, phosphorous bombs, heavy artillery and tank shelling, as well as standard artillery fire when faced with Hezbollah operatives, Israel were still unable to force Hezbollah to relinquish their positions, an objective Israel have had since taking Beaufort Castle in May, and so far have failed.
