Campaigners & Foreign Ministers Discuss A ‘Call For Action’ On Sidelines Of G7

⚡️ Israeli and Palestinian campaigners convened in France on Friday to call on the international community to keep the ‘two-state solution’ on the agenda, in a meeting which brought together foreign ministers and senior officials from dozens of countries, and coincided with the one-year anniversary of the UN-Backed New York Declaration.

🔹 “Given the current situation in the region, marked by seemingly endless conflicts, too many civilian causalities and a cycle of violence, and in light of the stalled implementation of the Gaza Ceasefire… we believe this conference is now more essential and urgent than ever, a spokesperson for France’s Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

🔹 The conference was expected to conclude with an eight-point ‘Call To Action’ demanding a lasting ceasefire, an end to settlement expansion, reconstruction in Gaza, governance reforms, and increased international support for civil society.

🔹 According to reports, the statement is due to be presented to G7 leaders, who are scheduled to meet in the French Alps starting Monday, but the two-state solution is widely considered unworkable due to Israel’s impunity and an accumulation of irresponsible and physical realities.
