⚡️ Israeli ministers discussed expanding pressure on Hezbollah and the Lebanese state amid continued cross-border tensions, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz reportedly acknowledging an American veto preventing strikes in Beirut, saying that “they are preventing it.”
🔹 Katz said that what hurt them was taking territory, while Ben Gvir added that it would “hurt them when we flatten Dahieh,” adding that “we should do there what we did in Rafah,” including the displacement of populations, arguing that harm to Israeli soldiers and civilians was ‘a red line.’
🔹 Energy and Infrastructure Minister Cohen said: “There is no choice but to strike both Hezbollah and the Lebanese government – they both must pay the price,” adding that Lebanon, as a sovereign state, was responsible for attacks originating from its territory, and that infrastructure should also be targeted.
