A former ICC prosecutor targeted by Mossad

⚡️ Former Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Fatou Bensouda revealed that she faced intense pressure and direct threats from Israeli intelligence services to halt investigations into the war crimes in Palestine.

🔹 Bensouda disclosed to Aj Jazeera in an exclusive interview that former Mossad Chief Yossi Cohen allegedly targeted her in Munich and New York City, explicitly demanding the prosecutor terminate the judicial inquiries into Israeli actions, while also directly interfering with the independent tribunal.

🔹 According to Bensouda, the intimidation campaign esclated quickly into blackmail attempts targeting her family, including the surveillance and tracking of her husband, in attempts to exert leverage over Bensouda’s decisions.

🔹 Despite reporting the case of espionage and security threats to the Dutch authorities, the former prosecutor said she received inadequate protection, while ICC member states failed to provide the necessary political backing to shield the court from Israeli state pressure.

🔹 The court had previously defied Israeli and western pressure by issuing a formal arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant over documented war crimes and crimes against humanity, with new warrants expected to be issued against officials such as current Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Security Minister Itamal Ben-Gvir.
