⚡️ Israel have officially expanded IDF operations to the north of the ‘yellow line’ in southern Lebanon under orders of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz, and forces were now operating ‘with force’ in areas described as Hezbollah infrastructure.
🔹 The decision followed an urgent call on Monday morning from Katz to Netanyahu during his court hearing, after which both had approved a ‘powerful offensive’ despite hesitation from some senior officials and Trump administration officials, and the IDF was instructed to launch the expanded operation within hours.
🔹 Israel allegedly approved targeted assassinations ‘across all areas of Lebanon without compromises,’ while ‘Operation Silver Plow’ continued in southern Lebanon.
🔹 Almost 70% of the homes in the first line of villages near the Lebanese border have been destroyed, amounting to roughly 15,000 structures, of which Israel claimed 10,000 were Hezbollah infrastructure.
🔹 One of the main factors behind the decision was an Israeli assessment that any potential agreement between the US and Iran would likely lead to a ceasefire and restrictions on future Israeli operations outside the ‘yellow line’ areas.
