President Zelensky said today that the US have proposed to the parties a de-escalation of strikes on energy infrastructure, noting that Ukraine had agreed, and Russia promised to respond later.
Zelensky also said that Ukraine insists on the position of “we stand where we stand” as a basic model of a possible ceasefire, noting that the US for the first time had proposed that the two negotiating groups meet in Miami next week.
US proposed to create a free economic zone in the Donetsk region, where there would be a special legal/tax regime, a possible withdrawal of Russian and Ukrainian troops, and international monitoring, with the aim of restoring infrastructure, attracting investments and creating jobs, which the US has already agreed to in the future participation of ceasefire monitoring.
