President Zelensky said that as a result of attacks just yesterday, Russian jet drones had hit two kindergartens, two schools, a residential building, a first aid post, several warehouses, and communications facilities, as well as the residence of the Saudi Arabian ambassador.
Throughout the night and into the morning, an attack in Kharkiv on an apartment building partially destroyed the second and fourth floors, while there was damage to Kyiv residential areas and infrastructure as a result of strikes, including gas stations, a café, and a supermarket in the city, Zelensky said in a morning update.
Russian strikes damaged a regular ice-cream factory in Zhytomyr, while attacks were recorded on residential buildings in Sumy, Rivne, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions, along with critical infrastructure in Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Khmelnytskyi and Zaporizhzhia.
Chernihiv:
Russia used a drone to strike the residential area of Novgorod-Siverskyi, injuring four people, including girls aged 15 & 17 and men aged 19 & 27, who were admitted to hospital, while rescuers extinguished the fire that broke out, and throughout the night Russia struck the premises of an enterprise in Semenivka.
Dnipropetrovsk:
Strikes using drones and artillery by Russia yesterday damaged a five-story building and a private house in the Nikopol district, while a Banderol drone caused a fire to break out and damaged a business, solar panels, 2 passenger cars, 3 apartment buildings, a children’s & youth sports school, and an educational institution in the Dnipro district, along with another Banderol drone attacking an enterprise in Kryvyi Rih, as OVA Lukashuk noted almost 20 attacks in total.
Damage was caused yesterday during a Russian attack on a boxing and martial arts school, which trains children as young as 7, which also destroyed some ceilings in the halls, and shattered two dozen windows, according to Mayor Boris Filatov.
Filatov said that at the same time, a nearby college was also affected, with glass being blown out of other buildings due to the blast wave, noting that the utility workers removed approximately five tons of debris and glass.
Lukashuk said this morning that Russia damaged a market in Nikopol during strikes with FPV drones overnight, while a fire broke out and infrastructure was damaged following an attack in the Vasylkiv community of the Synelnykove district.
Donetsk:
A private house caught fire as a result of a Russian FPV drone in Sloviansk, while firefighters were subjected to a second attack while extinguishing the blaze, damaging the fire truck but the rescuers were in relative safety and avoided harm.
Russia also launched a strike which caused a fire to break out on the 14th floor of an apartment building in Sloviansk.
A residential building with 9 floors was targeted in Kramatorsk, causing fires to break out on balconies and into apartments, but the fires were quickly contained and extinguished.
Kharkiv:
Mayor Ihor Terekhov said in the early hours that Russia had launched a double strike on Kharkiv city using KAB glide bombs, with the initial report of a strike on the Kyiv district, as well as reports of a multi-story residential building in the Saltivska district, where thirty-five people (including at least ten children) were being treated for injuries caused by shelling.
Damage was caused to five apartment buildings, 15 cars, a civilian business, six private houses, and a store, according to Head of the Regional Military Administration Sinegubov.
Kharkiv Prosecutor’s Office said that an FPV drone struck a VAZ 2106 car in the village of Shestakovo, Chuhuiv district, killing the 67-year-old driver at the scene, while his 65-year-old wife suffered from severe stress reactions.
The Prosecutor’s Office added that a 41-year-old woman was killed and a 46-year-old man was injured following an FPV drone attack on a vehicle transporting fibre-optic cables in the village of Velykyi Burluk, Kupiansk district, hospitalising the injured man.
Izyum City Military Administration reported a Russian strike at around 00:40 local time, claiming Russia used rocket artillery systems (RSZO), with hits recorded in the area of the local Central Market, causing a fire to break out in commercial buildings, damaging more than 20 commercial establishments, along with windows of nearby properties and apartment buildings.
Russia struck one of the districts of Balakliia this morning, according to head of the City Military Administration Vitaliy Karabanov, noting that blast wave damage was caused to windows of nine multi-story buildings and one municipal facility.
Head of the Zolochne Local Military Administration Viktor Kovalenko reported that a Russian FPV drone damaged the windows of a private residence it hit at 5:30am.
An impact on a building in Kharkiv this morning around 9am was caused by a Banderol missile, according to the director of the city’s emergency situations department Bogdan Gladkyi, who noted that 32 people were rescued from the damaged entrance by the DSNS, and all debris had been cleared from the apartments and entrance way, which had all suffered damage.
Gladkyi also said that two Banderol projectiles were the cause for damaging 12 private houses in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv, adding that there were no injuries in the district as a result of the impact.
An PFV drone struck a road near two vehicles on the Zolotchev-Derhachi road, according to Viktor Kovalenko, noting that a 28-year-old man was injured during the strike.
Kherson:
18 settlements of the Ukrainian-occupied Kherson region came under fire from Russian forces in a 24-hour period, according to RMA Olexandr Produkin, stating that two people were injured after damage was caused to an apartment building and private houses, along with a gas pipeline.
Russian-occupied Kherson governor said that 213 settlements were without power this morning due to attacks by Ukraine overnight, as Governor Saldo noted specialist services had already begun restoration work and cooperation with relevant services was ongoing.
A strike this morning on the outskirts of Kherson led to a 74-year-old woman from the village of Komyshani suffering injuries and had to be admitted to hospital, according to the city administration.
Kyiv:
One person was injured when a drone struck an apartment building causing 5 floors to catch fire in the Darnitskyi district of the capital, but the fire was extinguished in good time.
A strike was reported on an educational institution in the Solomenskyi district, and a car caught fire at a separate location in the district, but the fires were extinguished, and no casualties were reported.
Trucks caught fire on the premises of a service station in the Holosiivskyi district and the fire spread to the building, but firefighters extinguished all fires.
Fires broke at the ‘Stolychny’ market on the suburbs of the capital late in the evening, which led to two people being killed and four people being treated for injuries, and a large fire breaking out at the scene.
Klitschko reported later that debris from a drone fell on the roof of an office building in the Podilskyi district, causing a fire to break out, while also damaging the building, then soon after, a strike was reported on the 7th floor of a 16-story residential building, with initial reports suggesting there were casualties.
A drone crashed on the roof of a warehouse in the Pecherskyi district during the attacks, causing a fire to break out, and emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
During a dawn attack at around 6am in the Holosiivskyi district, a café near a gas station was reportedly damaged due to the impact of a drone, which resulted in one person being injured, reported the Mayor Klitschko, noting that a fire also broke out in an open area of the Darnitsky district following drone debris falling.
Meanwhile, drones targeting the Podilskyi district in the morning resulted in a 15-year-old girl & boy being injured and treated at the scene, while a 17-year-old boy had been hospitalised.
Kyiv’s DSNS emergency services also reported that fires had broken out in office buildings due to attacks or debris in the Pecherskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts overnight.
DSNS also said that two people were rescued after an early morning attack on the administrative building in the Holosiivskyi district, while fires had broken out at a gas station in the Obolonskyi district.
Over the 24 hours, 3 people had been killed and eight others injured in the capital, as 21 facilities in 5 districts of Kyiv region were targeted, including a private house, a market, warehouses, production facilities, an apartment building, and at least 13 vehicles.
Mykolaiv:
The regional military administration reported that Russia did attack the region in the past 24 hours, but there were no reports of damage or issues as of this morning to report.
Odesa:
Russian forces launched strikes against residential areas in the southern Odesa region, resulting in damage to the facades, roofs and windows of seven private houses, as well as several cars, according to head of the Regional State Administration Oleg Kiper.
Odesa’s emergency services added that two people had been injured during a strike which caused damage to an empty warehouse in the city, with a fire breaking out that was quickly extinguished, adding that roofs and windows of private residential buildings along with nearby passenger cars had been damaged during the attack.
Poltava:
Although explosions were heard this morning from drones flying over the region, no damage reports were initially issued by the regional officials or media, giving the impression that any UAVs were either intercepted, hit military facilities, or fell in open areas.
Sumy:
Two Russian drones struck residential areas of the region, according to the regional military administration, noting that a Molniya strike on the roof of an apartment building in the Kovpaky district injured a woman, while a drone hit the wall of a 10-story building in the Zarychnyi district, but didn’t result in any injuries.
Police said that two people had been killed and eight injured in the region over the past day, noting that damage was caused to residential buildings, educational institutions, garages and cars, while damage was also recorded in the Hlukhiv and Seredyna-Buda communities.
Vinnytsia:
The regional military administration said that critical infrastructure was attacked by Russian forces overnight, which followed a notification by the Air Force about the presence of jet-drones in the area.
Zaporizhzhia:
One person was killed and four others were injured as Russia carried out 712 attacks on the city and region, including 20 airstrikes, 520 drones, 3 MLRS rocket launches and 169 artillery strikes, resulting in 117 damage reports to property, infrastructure facilities and vehicles.
Zhytomyr:
Rescuers attempted overnight to make quick work of a blaze that had broken out at an ice cream factory during an attack, but the threat of repeated strikes meant firefighters had to keep retreating to safety, however, there was no information regarding casualties, and the fire had been contained this morning.
