More damage in Odessa after another night of attacks

Drones attacked Odessa again last night, with one drone causing a fire to break out on the territory of an Orthodox monastery, reported Head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Oleg Kiper, noting that there were no deaths or injuries.

According to Cyberspec News, several dozen Geran-2 drones hit the positions of the Ukrainian air defence systems in Odessa, noting that the defences were initially firing back during the first drone attack, but residents had reported that they’d fallen silent on the second attack of the night.

Oleg Kiper updated at 1am that a drone hit a private residential building in the city, but there weren’t any casualties initially reported.

Head of the City Administration Sergei Lysak noted that three people had been injured as a result of the attack, including a 21-year-old male with a shrapnel wound who was admitted to hospital in a moderate state.

Two more men aged 67 and 80 were provided assistance on the spot after being diagnosed with a head injury and an acute stress reaction, however they both refused to be hospitalised.

Rescuers stated that damage was caused to a private residential building, administrative and warehouse buildings, cars, as well as port infrastructure and the premises of an Orthodox monastery in their morning report.

Logistical elements were also destroyed in the region, which included railway storage hangars, a locomotive, and production buildings, as the port workers and emergency services dealt with the consequences, reported Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba.
