⚡️ Weekly press conference with Iranian FM Spox Esmaeil Baghaei

➡️ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei addressed the announcement that refuelers had left Bulgaria; the pending economic war; relations with Iraq; relations with Iran; and much more.

🔹 Baghaei said that several fuel tankers had left Bulgarian territory, citing press reports and announcements, claiming that people and politicians in Bulgaria had acknowledged the action was contrary to international law and constituted support for the military aggression against Iran.

🔹 The spokesman said Iran hoped other countries that have provided bases or equipment to aggressors for the purpose of attacking a member of the United Nations will take the necessary measures, adding that no country will be a cause for concern unless it provides its facilities for attacks against Iran.

🔹 According to international law, targeting the source and origin of any aggressive action is Iran’s legitimate right, and no leniency will be shown in defending the country’s sovereignty, Baghaei said.

➡️ Baghaei said the visit by Pakistani Army Chief Munir takes place within the framework of the growing relations between Tehran and Islamabad, stating that bilateral relations are at one of their best stages, and both sides are determined to develop the collaborations.

➡️ The Omani delegation’s visit on Tuesday, in addition to various aspects of bilateral relations, will also address issues related to the security of the Strait of Hormuz and maritime routes, as the two countries are coastal states in the region.

➡️ Baghaei then spoke about the government’s work to alleviate the economic pressure that will be forced upon them from this week, saying that the United States’ prior track record included its withdrawal from the JCPOA and violation of agreements just 21 days after signing.

🔹 According to Baghaei, this demonstrated that the US was not committed to any treaty, to the point that even Washington’s closest allies considered American signatures to be unreliable.

🔹 Despite the significant damage that the war and recent attacks had inflicted on oil, gas, and energy infrastructure, Baghaei said these damages had been repaired through the efforts of domestic experts.

➡️ Baghaei said the government is fully aware of the economic pressures that affect the livelihoods of the people, and is committed to using all available resources to alleviate these hardships and maintain the country’s resilience and integrity.

Iran have been chess players for a long time, but in recent years, Iran also became poker players: “And now we have been playing a mixed game for some time,” Baghaei said.

➡️ Baghaei warned that any country that collaborates with the United States in sanctions against Iran will suffer serious consequences: “Adapting diplomatic approaches and behaviours to the circumstances of the time is a dynamic and ongoing process to safeguard national security and interests.”

➡️ Just as Iran’s defence capabilities were constantly increasing through the use of past experiences, today’s diplomacy cannot rely on the tools and methods, he noted, saying that what the US was pursuing under the guise of an ‘economic war’ is a clear example of ‘economic terrorism,’ aimed at punishing a nation that insists on its sovereignty and independence.

🔹 “The naval siege of Iran is an act of aggression, and we warn that any cooperation with the illegal actions of the United States will have serious consequences, because the Islamic Republic of Iran will never be helpless in the face of such actions,” Baghaei said.

➡️ Addressing the oil issue in Iran, Baghaei assured that all necessary measures and efforts will be taken in this regard, noting that part of the measures are being implemented by the Ministry of Oil , and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will not spare any effort in the field of diplomacy.

🔹 “Over the past few months, despite the damage caused to the country’s infrastructure, efforts by officials have compensated for the damage in various areas, especially in the fuel and energy supply sector,” he said.
