⚡️ Iran and Iraq will play a decisive role in establishing regional order – Ghalibaf
➡️ Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said on Wednesday that Iran and Iraq will play a decisive role in establishing regional order in the Middle East.
🔹 Ghalibaf said: “The United States launched a war against Iran with the intention of overthrowing the Islamic Republic and expanding American hegemony in West Asia and the Muslim world, but thanks to the blood of the martyrs and the efforts of the brave Iranian people and the Resistance Front, they were clearly defeated, and the whole world acknowledged this.”
🔹 The Speaker said the US had failed in its military and political endeavours against Iran, and it would also fail in its economic sanctions: “The planned withdrawal of the American coalition forces from Iraq is an historical achievement for the Iraqi government and people,” adding that he hoped the withdrawal would be fully realised on the ground and in the air in Iraq.
🔹 Ghalibaf said: “The Zionist regime’s plan is to extend conflict to other countries in the region, so if Israel had succeeded on its war with Iran, it would have still turned its attention to other countries.”
🔹 “It is necessary for Islamic countries to set aside decisive issues,” Ghalibaf pointed out: “As others have seen, during the Gaza war, all Shia Muslims stood with the people of Gaza,” adding that Martyr Soleimani always said the Shia and Sunni Muslims were not just brothers, but were willing to sacrifice their lives for the Sunni community.
🔹 Ghalibaf said: “We are confident that Iran and Iraq can play a decisive role in regional order, especially in the Persian Gulf region.”
➡️ The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq, responded saying: “I have brought a message of solidarity from the Iraqi people and government for you, and we declare our readiness to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
🔹 According to the Chairman, the good relations between Iraq and Iran create an environment in which they can take steps with other countries in the region to forge cooperation agreements.
🔹 “We will never forget the positive stances of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Iraq, and we will never forget the Iranian martyrs, especially Martyr Soleimani, who was martyred in Iraq,” adding: “He will remain immortal in history, and his martyrdom, along with the martyrdom of Abu Mahdi, was a divine message and carried with it a message of solidarity between the two nations.”
