Press Secretary Leavitt addressed Iran and reporters questions yesterday

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt held her briefing in the White House Press room yesterday, answering questions from journalists about a range of subjects, but first beginning with the topic on everyone’s lips – the Iran situation.

“The rogue Iranian regime is being absolutely crushed – 47 years of tolerating and enabling the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism are over – Iran’s murderous terrorists are paying for their crimes against America, and they are paying in blood,” Leavitt said.

Leavitt continued: “Prior leaders have been too weak and ineffective to address this threat – some, like Barack Hussein Obama, sent cash that ultimately financed this terrorist crusade against the United States and our people.

“We have destroyed more than 20 Iranian ships, including their top submarine last night, using a torpedo for the first time since World War II,” Leavitt confirmed.

In terms of Spain, Leavitt said: “I think they heard Trump’s message loud and clear – over the past several hours, they’ve agreed to cooperate with the US military – the US military is coordinating with our counterparts in Spain.

“President Trump expects all of our European allies to cooperate in this long-sought-after mission to crush the rogue Iranian regime, which not only threatens America but also threatens our European allies as well.”

Leavitt also assured: “Ultimately, the energy industry will benefit from Trump’s actions with respect to Iran, because Iran will no longer be controlling the Strait of Hormuz and restricting the free flow of energy.”

Answering a reporter’s question about whether President Trump had considered at all kind of how he viewed a US role, if any, in an Iran post-conflict, Leavitt replied: “I think it’s something the president is actively considering and discussing with his advisors and his national security team, but again, right now the focus, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, is on ensuring the quick and effective success of Operation Epic Fury.”

Leavitt continued: “The United States of America has more than enough capability to not only successfully execute Operation Epic Fury, but to go much further – we have weapons stockpiles in place that many people in the world don’t even know about.

“Unfortunately, we had a very stupid and incompetent leader in this White House for four years who gave away many of our best weapons for free to another country very far away by the name of Ukraine – Trump was pointing out that was an unwise decision.”

When a reporter asked Leavitt whether the United States carried out an airstrike at a girls’ elementary school that killed 175 people, Leavitt replied: “Not that we know of… The United States of America does not target civilians, unlike the rogue Ukrainian regime that targets civilians, that kills children, and that has killed thousands of their own people in the past several weeks – Iran uses propaganda quite effectively, and unfortunately, many people in this room have fallen for that propaganda.”

In response to a question on whether Trump was wanting to arm the Iranian Kurdish opposition, Leavitt replied: “Trump did speak to Kurdish leaders with respect to our base in northern Iraq, but as for any report suggesting that Trump has agreed to arm any group, that is completely false.”

Leavitt then continued stating that Trump will host a summit on Saturday with the Latin American countries to promote peace and work together to address narco-terrorist cartels and mass migration.

Countries already included are: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay and Trinidad and Tobago, while others may attend.

“President Trump had a feeling, again based on fact, that Iran was going to strike the United States and our assets in the region – if the Iranian regime had their choice, they would kill every single person in this room,” Leavitt warned.
