One killed and several injured in the Sumy region over the past 24 hours

Regional Police reported that one person died and three others were injured in the Sumy region in the past 24 hours.

Russia shelled 32 populated areas of the region, leading to the death of a 40-year-old man, while three others were injured.

Damage was caused to 6 apartment buildings, 13 households, 7 cars, outbuildings, a store, a lyceum, and a dormitory.

Mayor of Konotop Artem Semenikhin reported damage to a church building as a result of shelling, which caused a fire to break out.

As a result of the Russian aggression, Sumyoblenergo reported that a large-scale power outage had occurred that affected the consumers of the Konotop district during the night.

This morning’s update noted that the man who died was from the Vorozhbytsia community, while a 45-year-old was injured in the Velikopisarivska community, and a 75-year-old man was seriously injured during the attack on Konotop, along with two women who suffered a stress attack.

Russia struck more than 50 times in 30 populated areas of 18 residential territorial communities of Sumy, with the most recorded hits in Sumy and Shostka.

Damage was caused to a car in the Mykolaiv rural community, a private residential building in the Esmanska community, along with a private residential building and civil infrastructure objects in the Seredyno-Budska community.

Civil infrastructure objects were damaged in the Yampilska community, while damage was caused to civil infrastructure objects, a residential building, multi-family apartment buildings and private cars in the Sumy community, private residential buildings and a car in the Vorozhbytsia community.
Damage was caused to a car and a civil infrastructure object in the Krasnopilska community, along with damage in the Konotop community to a residential building, a multi-family apartment building, private residential buildings, a church building, a store, and an educational institution.
