🔹 Aoun stressed that the negotiations are the President’s prerogative under the constriction but are conducted in close consultation with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Parliamentary Speaker Nabih Berri, adding that the proposal is a non-aggression security agreement, not a peace treaty, as Lebanon remains committed to the Arab Peace Initiative.

🔹 The President said Hezbollah members are Lebanese and have the right to live in dignity, but under state protection: “If the party does not agree to hand over its weapons or negotiate with the government, the people will distance themselves from it,” he warned.

🔹 Aoun refused to meet Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu before a final agreement, calling on Israel to show commitment to ending the war, while adding that Iran must not interfere in Lebanon’s affairs or destroy the country for its own interests, and seeking a relationship based on mutual respect.

🔹 President Aoun said Israel could occupy all of Lebanon but cannot eliminate Hezbollah: “Their strategy is short-sighted,” he said, adding: “They have tried it before; in 2000, in 2006, in 2023 and 2024, and now again in 2026.”

🔹 Aoun said the reality is that Israel could occupy the entire country, they could level the whole country to the ground, but they could never achieve their goal, because confronting non-state actors is different from confronting conventional forces.

🔹 “When two conventional forces face each other, the side with greater capabilities and capacities defeats the other, but Hezbollah is not a tangible target, it is an ideology,” Aoun said, noting it was something that isn’t seen, nor is it a geographical target: “It is a kind of war among the people, the battlefield is the people themselves,” he said.

🔹 Aoun added: “So, how do you measure success? By counting the dead? They tried this method in Gaza as well. Does Hamas exist or not? Yes it does!”

🔹 The Legal Minister said: “I must point out that Iran is not a member of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the sea; the legal regime emphasised by Iranian the Strait of Hormuz is ‘innocent passage’ based on customary international law and respecting the safety and security considerations of the coastal state.”

🔹 Unilateral coercive measures do not create law, Gharibabadi said: “Rather, they themselves can be the source of international responsibility for their enforcers,” adding that Iran places no value on the political and hypocritical action and would continue its strategy regarding the preservation of sovereignty and the exercise of sovereign rights over the Strait of Hormuz.

🔹 The IRGC Intelligence Organisation asked all resilient Iranian people to report ‘traitorous elements cooperating with the enemy’ through an official phone line or using a social media bot on Telegram.

🔹 Iran’s Attorney General’s Office also warned of the publication of images of impact sites, stating that the publishing of content related to the locations of impacts, which could help complete information by ‘enemy intelligence services,’ is considered a crime.

⚡️ Addressing the allegations of Israel spying against the US, Baghaei said that Israel was being given information about the negotiations directly from the US, yet the US has repeatedly faced espionage by Israel: “The behaviours of the Zionist regime should convince everyone what entity in this region is trying with all its power and negative capacities to destroy the diplomacy,” he said.

🔹 Baghaei was asked about Egypt’s involvement with the UAE, replying that Iran had no problem with Egypt or any of the Muslim and Arab countries in the region and believed in having good relations based on good neighbourliness: “I recommend all countries concerned about Islamic and Arab unity not to pour water into the enemy’s mill and not to gain credibility and trust through other means.”

🔹 Iran continued to manage the situation with full coordination at all levels in the fields of the battlefield, diplomacy, and overall governance, but Israel doesn’t acknowledge any diplomatic process that could lead to peace in the region: “We regret that some regional countries allowed their land and dignity to be used against a Muslim country in the region,” Baghaei said.

🔹 Baghaei said the world must know the actions of Israel and the US are contrary to the UN Charter while the silence of countries also threaten global security, noting the way to confront actions of the Israeli regime was for all countries to oppose them and speak up in the face of their crimes against Gaza: “Tel Aviv continues the massacre of people and journalists in silencing its media capacity.”

🔹 Albania’s anti-Iranian claims are based on a stereotypical framework and are part of that country’s officials to get closer to Israel, Baghaei stated, adding that Albanian officials looked to avoid accountability or explaining their actions of approaching Israel by accusing Iran.

🔹 Despite the slogan ‘America First’ and the claim of the current US administration to end all wars, Iran saw that a new war had been started by a group associated with Israel, which has had devastating effects for the people of the region and the US, Baghaei said: “Negotiations are focused on ending the war, but the details mentioned about the nuclear program, especially the amount of uranium and how it is preserved, are speculative and irrelevant.”

🔹 Baghaei said the World Cup in Qatar was held in a single country with good order, but now three countries were hosting the event, it was regrettable the US were taking actions, because Iran were now witnessing one of the most politicised editions of the World Cup: “The Iranian football team must participate in the World Cup matches without discrimination, pressure, or stress,” he said.

🔹 Vance said that over the last year and a half, the necessary space has been created where the president believes the US can get a long-term settlement to Iran’s nuclear deal, something the VP agrees with, stating Israel may like it or may not, but fundamentally, ‘we think this is in the best interest of the United States of America,’ adding: “We’re going to keep pursuing it because that’s what President Trump was elected to do.”

🔹 According to Vance, ‘everybody’s always trying to play everybody,” but one of the most important things to whether this ultimate settlement was a success was not what the Iranians wrote on paper, instead being whether they actually comply with some of the requirements of the settlements.

🔹 Vance said: “I don’t assume that anybody’s acting in good faith – let’s be honest, the Iranian’s don’t want this war to continue, it’s not in their best interest – I think they’re coming to the table, putting some real things on the table, and we’re of course, going to verify it,” adding that if the US got to the deal, it’s going to be a ‘home run,’ a win for the American people.

🔹 Grossi said: “There must be a political dialogue, there must be a diplomatic agreement,” adding: “This is what we believe in and what we are trying to support.”

Iraq news:

⚡️ Asharq Al-Awsat: Al-Zaidi Seeking To Reduce Escalations From Militia Groups

🔹 Iraqi authorities are making active efforts to prevent Iran-backed armed factions from joining the new round of escalation between Iran and Israel, with Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi attempting to convince influential political figures within the Shiite Coordination Framework to help keep the factions quiet.

🔹 The government fears that the factions could launch attacks on Gulf countries or the Kurdistan Region if not restrained, and because Iraq has already lost most of its oil export revenues due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a renewed wider war would further devastate the country’s finances.

⚡️ Iranian attacks on Iraq

🔹 Several Iranian Shahed-136 drones targeted KDPI’s Camp Azadi in the Koya district east of Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan during the afternoon on Monday, with two drones impacting inside the camp causing material damage, while a third struck the camp’s hospital, but no casualties were reported.

🔹 During the night, Iran’s IRGC launched drone attacks on US bases and Iranian-Kurdish opposition groups near Soran and Harir in the Erbil Governorate, Iraqi Kurdistan, and Patriot missiles were engaging the drones.

🔹 Kurdistan Region’s Security Agency announced two drones were shot down near the Unit 70 Forces Command in Sulaymaniyah at 00:20 local time, as footage captured one of the interceptions overnight.

⚡️ Repeated Violations Of Iraqi Airspace, Report Saraya Awliya Al-Dam

🔹 Iraqi militia group Saraya Awliya al-Dam said that Iraqi airspace was being subjected to repeated violations by the ‘Zionist entity’ in the absence of a clear and firm official Iraqi stance, calling for an explicit condemnation of each violation, and serious actions to preserve the country’s dignity and sovereignty.

🔹 The group also declared it was fully prepared and ready to resume its operations immediately should the Americans intervene or participate again in any aggression or escalation targeting Iraq or the peoples of the region.

Hormuz news:

⚡️ UKTMO: Maritime Incident Reported

🔹 The UKTMO received a report of an incident 15 nautical miles northeast of Masirah in Oman, stating a tanker had experienced a fire onboard resulting in the evacuation of the crew.

🔹 Indian authorities are coordinating the response and there are no reports of environmental impacts at present, but vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activities to UKTMO while authorities continue to investigate.

⚡️ CENTCOM: Vessel Disabled Near Oman

🔹 US Central Command published a statement on Monday evening stating the US forces had disabled an unladen oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman on Monday, after the vessel violated the ongoing blockade against Iran by attempting to sail to an Iranian port.

🔹 CENTCOM disabled the Palau-flagged M/T Marivex as it transited international waters in the Gulf of Oman toward Iran, with an F/A-18 Super Hornet from the USS Abraham Lincoln firing a precision munition into the ship’s engineering and steering spaces after the crew failed to comply with directions from US forces, adding that it was no longer sailing towards Iran.

🔹 Since the start of the Naval blockade on April 13, CENTCOM forces have disabled seven non-compliant vessels, redirected 134 ships that complied, and allowed 42 vessels supporting humanitarian aid to pass.

⚡️ Strait Of Hormuz Closed By IRGC Navy

🔹 The IRGC Navy announced on Monday that no vessel from ‘hostile countries’ is permitted to transit the Strait of Hormuz, with a Gunner aboard an IRGC navy vessel saying: “The entry of any combat vessel from hostile countries into the Persian Gulf is prohibited, and if observed, we will target immediately.”

🔹 An IRGC sailor added that no vessel had the right to cross the Strait without permission from Iran, and the statement reinforces Iran’s claim of full control over the Strait of Hormuz.

⚡️ Bloomberg: EU Seek Approval From Trump For Hormuz Plan

🔹 US allies are seeking US President Trump’s approval for a Europe-led plan to demine the Strait of Hormuz during next week’s G7 Summit in France, with France and the UK are leading the mission that is operationally ready and would deploy assets within days of a US-Iran peace deal, with more than 15 countries contributing military planners.

🔹 European leaders see the mission as a way to show support to the US and to restart commercial shipping through the Strait, which Iran has kept shut since the war began, and while it is unclear whether Trump will endorse the proposal, Germany, Italy and the UK have readied naval assets, including mine-sweepers and autonomous systems, for potential deployment.

⚡️ Mohsen Rezaei: Military Adviser Said The Strait Belongs To Iran And Oman

🔹 Senior Military Adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, Mohsen Rezaei, said the Strait of Hormuz belonged to Iran and Oman, and that no power – including the United States or Europe – will be allowed to interfere: “We say the Strait of Hormuz belongs to us and the country of Oman, and we ourselves will manage the arrangements here,” he said.

🔹 Rezaei claimed that currently 30 ships transit the Strait on a daily basis and that Iran is ready for more, but that the Americans are creating disruptions by threatening that more ships should not pass through: “If America interferes here, it means it interferes in oil, gas and the global economy – even the Europeans are not willing to accept it,” he added.

⚡️ Iran received a photo along with a message from a commercial vessel that had obtained permission and passed through the Strait of Hormuz, thanking the new Strait Of Hormuz management authority.
