Lviv situational update for January 27

Last night Russia reportedly targeted a critical infrastructure facility in the region, reported the Head of the Regional State Administration Maxim Kozitsky.

All relevant services were working on the scene of the attack, and there were no reported casualties, Kozitsky added.

Residents of Brody were urged by the Brody City Council to keep windows and doors closed or limit movements on the streets, while classes had been cancelled, and kindergartens who already accepted students were ordered to keep students in tightly closed areas.

OSINTer AMK Mapping later reported that a single drone flew to Lviv Oblast to strike a target in the city of Brody, noting that a large fire broke out at the impact site, which was likely the Brody oil depot and pumping station, which sits on the Druzhba pipeline.

Rescuers were still tackling the blaze this morning as local officials including Mayor of Brody Anotoliy Beley confirmed that the radiation level in the community was normal, but near the impact site and at the entrance to the city there were nearly twice-exceeded levels of carbon-monoxide.

Around 1pm drones flew into the Brody area, clearly checking damage and reporting back to Russia, following which it was last seen headed towards Novyi Yarichiv.
