Lies, deception, and attacks – Israel sets a new precedent

⚡️ Israel are likely to feature in record books for years to come, but not due to anything positive that can be shouted about, and its nothing to do with being Philosemitic or Anti-Semitic, because its down to compulsive lies, deceptions, then ultimately the country’s actions, which not only escalated tensions further and violated the US-backed ceasefire, but led to an overnight exchange of attacks between Iran and Israel, while Yemen appeared to join Iran in support.

🔹 This attack appeared to come soon after reports of a fire were published by Tasnim News at the Al-Malkiya military base in northern Israel, which allegedly occurred following the sound of an explosion in the area, and claimed that Israeli sources suggested may have been caused by a Hezbollah suicide drone, as well as reports by Warfront Witness that the attack targeted an iron dome platform inside the barracks.

🔹 Reports also began to circulate of a terrorist attack in northern Israel, which started as a drive-by shooting at a petrol station, and ended up with one suspect dead, along with multiple arrests and searches.

🔹 Despite promises to US President Donald Trump that Dahieh in Beirut wouldn’t be attacked, direct orders were issued by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, to launch an attack at what Israeli media initially attempted to justify as an ‘Hezbollah command centre,’ while Israeli media claimed informed officials told them a ‘green light’ had been issued by the Trump administration to proceed with an attack.

🔹 Israel’s PM’s Office issued a statement that read: “In accordance with the directive of Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defence Minister Katz, the IDF just struck the terrorist headquarters in the Dahieh district of Beirut, in response to Hezbollah fire toward Israeli territory.”

🔹 OSINT specialists geolocated the image quickly and were able to verify the apartment block is in the Tahwitat el-Ghadir neighbourhood in Dahieh, as sources claimed between three and five missiles targeted two apartments in the Nizlet al-Mawqif area of Dahieh, while in terms of casualties, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported at least two people died and eleven injured during initial estimates.

🔹 Despite the attack and threat’s by Iran to retaliate, the IDF Home Front Command said there were no changes to civilian safety guidelines.

Official Responses:

⚡️ A senior Hezbollah official hit out that the attack on Israel had crossed all red lines: “We will respond forcefully to any attack on Lebanese territory,” they said.

🔹 The Iranian hacker group Handala warned all Israeli residents in the northern areas of the country to immediately leave their homes to save their lives: “All confidential coordinates have been transferred by Handala to the missile units of the resistance front, and these targets will soon be hit by heavy missiles,” they said.

🔹 Iranian National Security & Foreign Policy Commission Spokesperson Ebrahim Rezaei said on X: “We will deliver a decisive and painful response to the Zionist regime’s attack on Dahieh.” stating they must be disciplined: “Look at the sky over the occupied lands tonight,” Rezaei added.

🔹 The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned the Israeli strike on Dahieh could trigger a new phase of military escalation: “This escalation may bring us to the stage of True Promise 5 – this threat and warning are fully valid and hang over the heads of the Zionist,” they said in a statement, adding: “The more they seek to raise the level of their threat against Hezbollah, we will expand the response in different stages and layers, which will include the north of the occupied territories, meaning Haifa, then Tel Aviv.”

🔹 Iranian negotiator, Professor Mohammad Marandi, said: “As soon as the Pakistani delegation arrives in Tehran, the Zionist regime bombs Beirut,” adding that Netanyahu and Israel own the US.

Trump’s Comments:

⚡️ President Trump spoke about the dispute with Israeli PM Netanyahu during an interview with NBC, saying that they agreed and were doing great, but also disagreed on several things: “I want a better life for Lebanon, I want the attacks on Hezbollah to be more surgical,” Trump said, warning: “We can help with that or get help from Syria, the leader of Syria will be happy to help.”

Media Claims:

⚡️ Axios was told by a US official following the Dahieh attack that Hezbollah must immediately stop firing and allow agreements to take effect, claiming the proposed terms were fair, have the approval of Lebanon and Israel, and provide a clear path to end the fighting, adding that the US military was fully prepared to respond to Iran should an attack be launched.

🔹 Kan News said a delegation of legal advisers from the Trump administration had met with Prime Minister Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Sa’ar, Defence Minister Katz, and military commanders.

🔹 Al-Hadath published a report saying that the Hezbollah headquarters that was attacked included a planning centre for the terrorist organisation’s operations against Israel, adding that a consultation was held at the top of Israeli level, at the end of which it was decided to carry out an attack in Beirut: “We will not remain silent about the violation of the equation we set,” an Israeli official said.

🔹 Israeli Army Radio said the strike targeted a single Hezbollah command centre, but security officials couldn’t confirm if the centre was manned, meaning it could have been empty, claiming the strike was carried out for its ‘own sake,’ not to eliminate a specific figure, so expected that if any Hezbollah members were hit, they’d likely be low-level members.

🔹 Quds News said that just four days following a ceasefire meant to limit Israeli attacks to southern Lebanon, Israel claimed responsibility for bombing a residential complex in Beirut, effectively violating the deal, marking the second major breach of the agreement after killing a Lebanese Army Brigadier and several soldiers just days after the agreement was signed.

🔹 Iranian Noor News said that despite Trump utters blustering threats and Tel Aviv wanted a ceasefire on paper only, attacking Dahieh while simultaneously escalating threats: “But Iran has long since replaced strategic patience with a punitive strike,” adding that the warnings had been given and the equations were changing: “The responsibility is clear – Washington and Tel Aviv,” they said.

🔹 Al-Hadath later reported that there was shock in Hezbollah after the attack on Dahieh, despite Iranian promises that the area wouldn’t be attacked, and although the Lebanese government advised Hezbollah to positively consider the ceasefire agreement, the organisation decided to reject it.

🔹 Axios cited two US officials who allegedly said that President Trump wants to end the war, but PM Netanyahu wants to resume it, alleging one official said: “Sometimes Bibi doesn’t know when to stop.”

🔹 IRIB News claimed that Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters was ready for Operation True Promise 5 and would not leave Zionist attacks unanswered, adding that Iran’s warning remained valid and at its highest level.

🔹 Yediot News said that there was intense movement of Lebanese people evacuating the neighbourhood following the attack, and videos published later appeared to confirm the mass migration of people.

🔹 Axios claimed Israel informed the US in advance of its strike on Beirut, arguing that attacks by Hezbollah on northern Israel constituted a violation of the ceasefire and a ‘justified operation,’ adding: “Israeli officials made it clear to the Trump administration they intend to continue striking Beirut whenever Hezbollah launched attacks against northern Israeli communities.

🔹 i24NEWS Israel reported the Trump administration was informed in advance of the attack.

🔹 Channel 14 issued a warning to residents that following Iran’s threats of a response in relation to the Dahieh attack, Israel had been placed on full alert.

Expectations:

⚡️ Qatar issued a NOTAM establishing alternative flight routes through its airspace for aircraft departing from Doha and airports in Saudi Arabia, which is in effect for 7 days until June 14, and provides rerouting options for air traffic due to ongoing regional security tensions.

🔹 Iraq followed suit and closed airspace for traffic with a NOTAM for 24 hours, according to Naya News.

🔹 Israel went on full alert following threats and preparedness that was noted by IDF forces and intelligence services, just before sirens began to ring out across Israel and more than 200 alerts were issued to various residents via the Tzofar application, while Home Front Command cancelled classes on the northern front that were due to be held on Monday.
