Statement From President Masoud Pezeshkian At Economic Conference:

🔹 Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian spoke at an economic conference ahead of the start of the negotiations in Switzerland, saying the memorandum of understanding is largely in ‘Iran’s favour’ and reaffirmed Tehran wouldn’t retreat from its right to enrich uranium.

🔹 Pezeshkian said that Washington’s main demand is that Iran not acquire nuclear weapons, stating this principle had been clearly stated by the late leader of the Islamic Revolution and repeatedly reiterated by Iranian officials: “If necessary, we will state in writing and declare that we have no intention of producing a nuclear bomb,” he said.

🔹 According to Pezeshkian, Iran had exported more than 16 million barrels of oil in recent days, saying the talks would enable Tehran to regain access to its financial resources, while expressing hope that Iran’s $6 billion in assets currently held in Qatar would be released following the start of negotiations.

🔹 Pezeshkian said: “The terms of the agreement are largely of the interest of the Iranian people,” adding that what is certain is that: “We will never retreat from our right to enrich uranium, and the other side will have to accept that.”
