Russia launched a drone attack on a residential area on the outskirts of the village of Velikiy Buruluk in the Kupiansk district, according to the State Emergency Services.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the attack to tackle a fire in a building that covered 60 square metres: “At the scene of the incident, 10 employees and three units of the State Emergency Services were working under the threat of repeated shelling,” they noted.

Two women were injured when a drone strike was launched in Khotiml of the Chuihuiv district at around 2.50pm yesterday afternoon, reported the Head of the Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov, noting that two shops and two cars had been damaged.

Police at the scene reported that three people had suffered traumas as a result of the attack, noting that a 45-year-old woman sustained a leg injury and was treated on the spot, while two female shop assistants were taken to the hospital, as they confirmed that the strikes struck in the Vovchansk community.

State Emergency Services later confirmed that there were two fire outbreaks: “A utility building in a private sector and two shops were on fire, covering a total area of 400 square metres – nearby residential buildings, a shop, and cars were damaged,” as they confirmed that two nearby districts had been targeted, the second confirmed as Khotimlya in the Starosaltivskyi community.

Five populated areas were attacked by the Russians on February 1, according to Sinegubov this morning, noting that Russia used three Geran-2 drones, one Lancet, five Molniya, one FPV and 22 other UAVS which are being identified.

Russian drones attacked the districts of Nemishlyanskyi, Sobidskyi and Shevchenkivskyi, resulting in damage to a multi-apartment building and two cars.
