⚡ ️ Public transport targeted again by Russia, this time in Konotop, Sumy, between January 31 and February 1

Russian drones struck the railway depot and a station in Konotop between January 31 and February 1, reported Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba.

Damage was caused to the tracks, the station area, a repair shop and the depot’s administrative building, while fires also broke out, but the workers thankfully adhered to alerts and were in shelters at the time of the attack.

Mayor of Konotop Artem Semenikhin said: “We were shelled all night with rockets and regular ‘shahed’ drones – there is damage to buildings.”

Despite the attacks on Konotop, train traffic was still continuing, while the situation was being monitored closely by UZ monitoring groups, noting that in the event of an immediate danger, the UAVs could make stops near shelters.

An impact of a Molniya-2 drone was recorded on a road near a gas station in the Kovpakovsky district of Sumy, but thankfully no casualties were reported.
