At the time of Russia’s attack on Zaporizhia hospital’s maternity apartment, there were 15 medical staff and 16 patients on the premises, reported the Ministry of Health.
Three of the women from the labour ward who had newborn babies had been in the shelter at the time of the attack.
According to the reports, a doctor, a nurse, and a patient of a private dental clinic were injured and admitted to hospital in a moderate condition.
Damage was caused to the hospital’s windows, the facade was destroyed, and a fire broke out, which has since been extinguished, while the patients were relocated to other departments.
Russia directed a drone at a diesel locomotive that was at the station in Zaporizhzhia this morning, reported the Ministry of Development, noting that the locomotive crew were in a shelter at the time of the attack and had avoided injury.
Two people were injured when a Russian drone struck a passenger car on the outskirts of the regional centre, resulting in the 72-year-old driver and a 70-year-old passenger being injured, but they were provided with all necessary medical assistance and are to continue their treatment at home.
