THREE RAIL WORKERS INJURED IN OVERNIGHT ATTACKS ON SUMY

Two men aged 35 and 29, along with a 32-year-old woman, were injured following a strike by a Russian drone on the Sumy rail infrastructure, also causing damage to trains and the railway network overall.

Reports stated that two drones hit the railway around 3am local time, and emergency service personnel worked on site providing all necessary assistance while the damage to the trains were surveyed.

Most strikes by the Russians were recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts again, using up to 10 FAB guided bombs, almost 20 VOG drops from UAVs, almost 30 drone strikes and up to 10 strikes using MLRS systems.

Damage was caused to a civil infrastructure object in the Popivka community, civil infrastructure in the Krasnopillia community, as well as a residential building, a private house and a cargo vehicle in the Myloaivka rural community.

There was also damage caused to a vehicle in the Seredyno-Buda community, a private house in the Hlukhiv community, civil infrastructure in the Bilopillia and Konotop communities, and a cargo vehicle in the Sumy community.

During the night Russia launched two drones trikes on a truck and passenger car in the Setskivskyi starostate according to the Sumy MBA, adding that civilian vehicles were damaged but there were no injuries.

During the day the local authorities worked with the State Emergency Services, National Border Police and other public organisations to evacuate 13 people from the frontlines, despite the air raid lasting for 18 hours and 22 minutes across the region.
