Five people were injured over the past day, reported Governor Oleh Hryhorov, as Russia carried out 65 strikes on 30 settlements in 14 territorial communities of the region, with the most shelled areas being the frontline districts of Sumy and Shostka.
Attacks using up to 20 FAB guide bombs, up to 10 drone strikes and up to 5 missile strikes along with MLRS and dropped VOGs caused damage to civil and social infrastructure across the region.
Non-residential premises were damaged in Bilopillia, resulting in injuries to women aged 54 and 55 following a drone strike, while a 38-year-old man was injured in the Trostianets community by a drone strike that damaged a cargo vehicle.
Private houses and a passenger car were damaged in the Krasnopillia community following an FPV drone strike which also injured a 55-year-old man, and a drone strike in the Vorozhba community resulted in an injury to a 41-year-old man and two passenger cars.
Two private houses were damaged along with a passenger car in the Mykolaiv community, while a passenger car was damaged in the Shostka community, and a private house was damaged in the Velykopysarivka community, as well as civil infrastructure objects and non-residential premises in the Sumy community.
Although the air raid lasted for 17 hours and 48 minutes in the region, the local authorities still worked together with the State Emergency Services, National Police and other public organisations from border communities to evacuate eight people.
