Russia have declared MediaZona editor Dmitry Treshchanin as wanted

MediaZona drew attention to the update in the Interior Ministry of Russia’s list on February 24, noting that the editor of the magazine had been declared wanted.

Samara investigators have initiated a chase against Treshchanin for violating the order of the activities of a foreign agent, because he posted twice to Instagram, both times without the ‘foreign agent’ label.

The first fine was imposed on Treshchanin in April 2025 for a voice message on his Telegram channel, and the second fine in October for a video stunt about Yukia Latynina.

According to law enforcement, Treschanin made new posts without a label while being in an ‘unspecified location in the city of Samara.’

Treschanin was officially added to the list of foreign agents in November 2024.
