Kherson representative Alexander Korniakov published photos of destroyed cars from the centre of the city that were caused by Russian drones.
Russian military also struck the centre of Kherson at around 10am yesterday, causing a 69-year-old man and woman to suffer from mine-explosive injuries, shrapnel wounds to their bodies, arms, and legs, and they’ve been admitted to hospital, reported Head of the Regional State Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
A police service vehicle came under attack by a drone at 5pm in the city centre, injuring a 48-year-old Senior Inspector, who suffered a mine-explosive injury, a concussion, and a shrapnel wound to the head.
Later at around 17:30 in the Korabelnyi district, a 49-year-old Senior Inspector was injured as a result of the detonation of an explosive device – he was taken to the hospital with a hand injury and the amputation of several fingers, the Kherson Police reported.
At around 17:30, one person is known to have died and four others injured following more Russian attacks, which damaged multi-apartment buildings, a trade pavilion and cars, reported the Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
Prokudin reported that thirty-nine populated areas of the region came under fire from the Russians over the past day, which resulted in one being killed and five others injured, while destruction was recorded in the private residential sector, along with eleven private houses and two multistory buildings, infrastructure objects, a gas pipeline, a trade pavilion, and civilian cars being damaged.
In the 468 settlements that Russia have supposedly liberated since the invasion, most lack electricity and water supplies, while people complain about communication outages and the lack of basic administration services.
Men are detained at checkpoints and forced to sign contracts with the Russian Army, stated Prokudin: “This horror continues in the 21st century – kidnappings, searches, murders, censorship, looting, passportization, and mobilization to Russia – this has become a reality for Ukrainians on the left bank.”
