Nigeria’s Air Force said it had intensified operations in the country’s north-east, having carried out sustained strikes against Boko Haram militant positions in the Sambisa Forest and the Tumbuns under Operation KHADIN KAI.
Aircraft struck targets at Alafa in the Sambisa axis on April 30, destroying what it described as terrorist infrastructure and supply nodes with follow-up strikes being launched on May 1 against positions at Metele in the Tumbuns.
The Nigerian Air Force assess that multiple militants were neutralised during the operations, which formed part of a strategy aimed at preventing regrouping and degrading militant capabilities.
