CHERNIHIV MORNING REPORT – Oct 20

Russian forces targeted energy infrastructure and railways in the region over the past day with 13 strikes causing 49 explosions, using mortars, artillery shells and various drones including Geran-2, damaging facilities and enterprises in several communities.

Drones hit an oil refinery and an agricultural enterprise in the Prylutskyi district that caused a fire to break out, while a drone attack on an energy facility in the Koriukivka community temporarily left 55,000 subscribers without power, and an attack damaged energy facilities and railway infrastructure in the Nizhynskyi district, which also left some villages without electricity.

According to OVA Viacheslav Chaus there were nine explosions in the Pryluki district, three in the Koriukivka district and eight explosions in the Nizhyn district, adding that information about casualties were still being clarified.
