Russia launched a combined attack of missiles and drones last night on the region of Zaporizhzhia, according to Ivan Fedorov, adding that 13 people had been reported as injured this morning including 5 children, while others continued to seek help, and that most were suffering from acute stress reactions, lacerations, concussions, bruises and fractures.
According to the SES, there was assistance provided by Psychologists to 27 citizens including 7 children, but the number of casualties were still being clarified, and search and rescue operations including a canine unit continued at one property.
An attack destroyed several floors of a residential dormitory building, resulting in destruction of several floors, and while the site had been cleared by State Emergency Services this morning, there were still search and rescue operations ongoing for a person who may have been under the rubble.
During the previous day there was one person killed and more than thirteen wounded as a result of strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the district of Vasylivka, as Fedorov reported at least 744 strikes by the Russians on 18 settlements of the region.
Russia carried out 8 missile strikes on the region, as well as 6 air strikes dropping FAB glide bombs, 481 UAVs of various types, and heavy artillery shelling at least 249 times including 4 from MLRS systems, resulting in 36 reports of damage to housing, infrastructure facilities and vehicles.
UPDATE: 10:20 Kyiv Time – Ivan Fedorov reports that there are 17 now injured, including a two-year-old girl, adding that the medical assistance was needed for children aged two, three, five, six, eight and 16.
