Comments from Iranian Parliament Speaker on Tuesday’s parliament session

⚡️ Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf told Parliament on Tuesday that the American-Zionist ‘enemy,’ due to miscalculation, attacked ‘our beloved Iran with the aim of overthrowing the Islamic Republic,’ but the mobilised, cohesive, unified, and courageous people of Iran stood against the act of ‘human barbarity.’

🔹 “The military forces, with a cleverly designed operation, under the guidance of the leadership of the Supreme Commander, delivered such a resounding blow to the enemy that the entire world acknowledged the victory of our independent and proud Iran,’ Ghalibaf said.

➡️ Ghalibaf said that through fields of diplomacy, military action, along with support and guidance from Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, the ‘greatness and victory of the Iranian people have been transformed into a document of America’s defeat in both the legal and political spheres, known as the Islamabad Memorandum.’

🔹 According to Ghalibaf, as allegedly predicted, the US accepted the ceasefire agreement ‘out of desperation,’ then quickly reneged on its commitments ‘in an attempt to compensate for its heavy political defeat.’

➡️ Ghalibaf warned that the Strait of Hormuz remain closed until the lifting of the ‘US Siege,’ the release of frozen assets, the removal of oil sanctions, and the end of threats and military operations on all fronts, as well as ‘the fulfilment of other conditions outlined in the agreement.’

🔹 “The opportunity presented by the agreement to lift the siege and establish a ceasefire has provided significant assistance in strengthening Iran’s economic resilience and rebuilding its defence capabilities,” Ghalibaf said, adding that the Islamic Republic is ready to ‘inflict an heavier defeat on the enemy, commensurate with its actions and transgressions.’

➡️ Ghalibaf called on the Iranian people to remain united through the tough times, as they did during the 12- and 40-day wars, acknowledging the economic grievances of the people, and respected their criticisms, however, this is a time when the streets should be filled with ‘passionate gatherings, showcasing our strength to the enemy.”

🔹 “Those who use platforms and orchestrate events must prioritise the leadership’s directive to preserve unity and avoid division, conflict, and political differences, so as not to alienate people with different viewpoints,” he said, adding: “The streets are not a place for election rallies, they’re sacred grounds for unity, and must accommodate the strong base of 90 million people.”

🔹 According to the Parliament Speaker, the opposition are seeking to create chaos combined with military operations, such as assassinations and separatist actions: “The enemy is planning to exploit the government’s measures to reduce gasoline consumption,” Ghalibaf said.

🔹 Solving the gasoline shortage problem ‘must be done with comprehensive and highly intelligent planning,’ he continued, saying that reducing the gasoline consumption should be done in such a way that creates the most fairness and the least dissatisfaction among the people.

➡️ Addressing the gasoline challenge with precise planning and national unity will have an ‘undeniable impact on discouraging the new plots,” he said: “I urge all representatives, experts, and media activists to cooperate and coordinate with the respected government, both in making decisions to solve the gasoline challenge, and in implementing any finalised solution with consensus.”

🔹 Ghalibaf added that the government must, now more than ever, pay attention to and act upon the opinions of experts and critics: Any conflict or disagreement will weaken the country internally and give hope to foreign enemies,’ he warned.

🔹 According to Ghalibaf, in the latest plot, ‘cognitive warfare plays the most crucial role,’ stating that the national media was more important than ever, but said unfortunately, it has not achieved the ‘necessary success.’

🔹 “Explaining the structural, methodological, and operational shortcomings of state television requires a comprehensive discussion,” he said: “The national media should be transformed into a centre of unity and hope for Iran’s 90 million patriotic citizens with diverse political views and social differences.”

➡️ Ghalibaf concluded by saying that under the guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, and before the people of Iran: “We pledge to dedicate all our capabilities to upholding the rights of the Iranian people, ending aggression, punishing the aggressors, and ensuring the pride of our country.

🔹 The Parliament Speaker said: “We will not allow the enemy to target national unity, public participation, the resilience of the nation, and the motivation of the officials.”

🔹 “With the help of God and the guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Iran, united, powerful, and vigilant, will emerge victorious from this historical test, and divine victory will undoubtedly be achieved for this striving people.”
