⚡️ President Joseph Aoun met with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in Baabda, discussing the national situation and escalating security developments in the south, according to the Lebanese President’s Office.
🔹 Both leaders reviewed ongoing Israeli operations in southern Lebanon, including strikes on Tyre and Nabatieh, reported house demolitions, and threats to civilians.
🔹 The leaders agreed that they should intensify international diplomatic contacts to help halt the escalation and reviewed follow-up information from the Washington talks that involved Lebanese, US and Israeli military delegations.
🔹 Ceasefire efforts are described as the main priority for the next round of negotiations scheduled for June 2, alongside monitoring the displacement conditions in the south.
