Israel appeared proud as the security cabinet approved the return of settlers to the ‘evacuated settlement’ of Ganim in the West Bank in December 2025, while settlement leaders at the time said they were aiming for ’20 times more civilians in Samaria in the coming years’.
Ynet reported that a core group of families made up of graduates from the Bnei David pre-military academy are expected to move to the site, which had been ‘evacuated’ under the 2005 disengagement law.
The move follows renewed settlement activity at Homesh and Sa-Nur as part of a broader government push to establish more settlements in the West Bank and displace more Palestinian landowners, while stealing their livestock, property and livelihoods.
