Kim Ju-ae is believed to be successor of North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un

South Korea’s intelligence agency claims North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un has chosen to formally designate daughter Kim Ju-ae as successor.

Kim Ju-ae, believed to be around 13 years old, first appeared in public in 2022 and has recently accompanied Kim Jong-un at major events, including a reported visit to Beijing – her first trip abroad.

If Kim Ju-ae ultimately takes power, it would make her North Korea’s first female leader while also representing the fourth generation of the ruling Kim dynasty.
