Russia launched 90 drones overnight, which damaged power lines in one region despite a ban on striking energy infrastructure, although this could have been accidental.
Ukraine’s air defences suppressed 76 drones of various types using different methods of interception, but impacts of 14 drones occurred at nine locations as the fall of debris was recorded, reported the Ukrainian Air Force.
Around 1,000 buildings were still without a heat supply, reported Mayor Klitschko, noting that over the past night, more than 1,500 multi-story buildings in the capital had been reconnected, which had been left without heat due to Ukraine’s emergency situation on the energy system, although positive news released by Klitschko concerned the restoration of the water supply to all the Kyiv residents last night.
Around 4:30am this morning, Russian drones targeted an enterprise in the north-eastern outskirts of Chernihiv city, which fortunately didn’t result in any casualties, but one of the buildings suffered damage to the facade and glazing as a result of the attack, reported Chernihiv City Council.
Sumy’s Regional State Administration confirmed that men aged 68 and 65 were both injured due to attacks in the Velikopisarivska community by Russian FPV drones, while the State Emergency Services noted that around 20 private homes had been damaged in attacks.
Two populated areas of Kherson came under fire over the past 24 hours, both Herson and Antonivka, as Russia used artillery and drones.
Private houses and multi-story buildings were damaged, along with a civilian car and a non-residential building.
According to OVA Prokudin, 10 people were injured in the past day in the Kherson community, which included children aged 2, 5, and 14 years old.
Public transport wasn’t working in Kherson this morning, however, the reason wasn’t due to Russian attacks but due to repair work and unfavourable conditions – trolleybuses also wouldn’t be running today, so residents were asked to take these circumstances into account when planning a journey.
Five populated areas of Kharkiv were attacked yesterday according to the Head of the Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov, noting that Russia used guided bombs, UAVs of both Geran-2 and Molniya types along with FPV drones and other drones which are still being determined.
Windows of a mult-building apartment were damaged by a drone attack in the Kivsharivka area of the Kupiansk community, causing an injury to a 60-year-old woman, while a 60-year-old woman was also injured in the Sinisa area of the Kurilov community as result of an attack, added Sinegubov.
An attack on a garage cooperative using the Molniya drone was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office this morning, which didn’t result in any injuries.
Meanwhile, Zolochiv’s head stated that six private houses, outbuildings and power grids had been damaged in Zolochiv of the Bogudukhiv community.
Sinegubov added that a private house was also damaged in the Stary Saltiv area of the Chuihuiv district yesterday.
Mykolaiv’s Regional State Administration reported that a Grad rocket system was used towards the Kutsurubskaya community, resulting in damage to a power line that left 888 consumers without power – no deaths or injuries were caused, and supply was being restored by specialists.
Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region remained without a power supply on Feb 1, reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs: “Due to military actions, the city of Druzhkivka is disconnected from electricity supply until the situation can be resolved.”
Russia launched an attack with a FAB-250 bomb equipped with a UMPK module which fell in an open area of Kramatorsk, reported the City Council, noting that there were no casualties, but two residential buildings and the power grid suffered from damage.
Dnipropetrovsk’s Head of Regional Administration Alexander Ganja reported that a 31-year-old man had died as a result of shelling in Nikopol, which also left seven others injured, with a 30-year-old admitted to hospital in a serious condition, as the rest received treatment as an outpatient basis.
Two five-story buildings and seven private houses, an enterprise, two shops, three cafes, a market, and a greenhouse were damaged, while two outbuildings were vandalized, another was destroyed, and cars near the attacks were damaged in the Nikopol district.
Damage was also caused when a drone hit a private residence in the Malomikhailovskaya community of the Synelnykove district.
Overnight, a woman and a man died in Dnipro as a result of a drone strike that caused a fire to break out that destroyed a private house, while two others nearby were damaged, along with a vehicle.
Damage was caused to two multi-story buildings and four private houses, an outbuilding, a cafe, several shops and a car, while a gas pipeline and a powerline were also hit in the Nikopol district, reported Ganja.
Ganja also updated the information for the afternoon of January 31, noting that a private residence and an outbuilding in Pokrovsk were damaged because of an artillery strike.
An injured man along with destroyed houses and non-residential buildings from an attack by Russia as they struck Komyshuavasi with guided aerial bombs, reported Head of the Regional State Administration Ivan Fedorov.
According to Fedorov, the Russians dropped three guided aerial bombs on the village which destroyed houses and outbuildings, but all necessary assistance had been provided to the injured 54-year-old man.
Fedorov also noted an injured 57-year-old woman in the morning update, stating that Russia carried out 383 strikes on 26 populated areas, including 13 airstrikes, 155 different types of drones, 4 MLRS strikes and 211 artillery strikes, which led to 48 reports of damage to housing, cars and infrastructure.
