Almost 175 strikes on Kharkiv left multiple people killed or injured

One person aged 47 died as a result of an FPV drone strike in the Hatny village of the Velikoburlutsky community, reported Head of the Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov.

Kharkiv Emergency Services stated that 35-year-old fireman Ivan Seryi was killed in an explosion near the Burbulatov settlement of the Bliznyukovsky community, when rescuers attended the scene to identify an explosive object.

Medics provided assistance to a woman aged 79 who had been injured when Russia launched an airstrike around 18:30 on January 27, reported Sinegubov.

Geran-2 drones attacked Bavinokovo in the Izium district, damaging two cars, reported Sinegubov, while rescuers confirmed they were involved in a fire that had broken out as a result of the strike.

Following Russia’s constant attacks on the region’s energy infrastructure, around 30% of consumers remained without a supply last night, reported Head of the Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov, noting that they were due to planned and emergency disconnection schedules.

Emergency and special emergency disconnections had been implemented in Kharkiv throughout the day, reported spokesperson for the regional energy company Volodymyr Skichko.

During the forensic examination of the remains of bodies at the site of the Kharkiv train fire, specialists had found the fragments of six bodies, updated the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

“In the future, biological samples will be taken from the close relatives of the deceased for molecular genetic examinations in order to compare them with the discovered body fragments and to identify the deceased individuals,” the message said.

Russia carried out two airstrikes and 173 artillery strikes on populated areas, as well as the use of 119 kamikaze drones, reported the 16th Army Corps, noting that 64 Russian soldiers were neutralised, while a total of 98 units of Russian weapons and  military equipment had been either destroyed or damaged.
