Civilian Vessels In Odesa Targeted By Russian Drones

One person was injured as more than 40 drones attacked energy infrastructure and civilian vessels docked in ports, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration Oleg Kiper.

Explosions were heard in several cities, but despite the effective work of air defences, consequences to the energy and port infrastructure were recorded, including several civilian vessels that were damaged during the attack, adding that the emergency services promptly extinguished the fires.

Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmytro Kuleba reported this morning that one of the ports experienced power outages following the attacks, and specialists were working on the site to restore connections.

As a result of the attack on the DTEK facility in the Odesa region, four thousand homes were powered through backup schemes, while another 32,500 were temporarily without power, and restoration work was ready to begin the moment the situation was deemed safe from the military and rescuers.

Izmail and the village of Broska were partially left without power, but this was expected to be restored by midday, while critical infrastructure, life-support facilities, medical institutions, social protection establishments, and alert systems had been provided with backup power.

Prosecutors have opened an investigation into the Russian attack last night for war crimes, adding that an 18-year-old boy had been injured as a result of the shelling, and was given first aid on the spot.
