19 people injured in Kharkiv during Russia’s missile attack

Yesterday the Russians continued attacking gas storage facilities and production facilities in the Kharkiv region for the second day in a row, reported Naftogaz.

According to Naftogaz, Russia used about 60 attack drones on objects in both the Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions, causing some damage.

“As soon as the security situation permits, our specialists, together with the units of the State Emergency Service, will assess the consequences and begin their elimination,” stated the head of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, Sergei Koretsky.

As day turned into evening, a Russian combat drone hit in the Kyiv district of Kharkiv near private houses, reported Mayor Igor Terekhov, while Head of the Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov noted that there were no casualties initially.

During the early hours of this morning, impacts of ballistic missiles and drones were recorded by Kharkiv City Mayor Terekhov in the Shevchenko and Kyiv districts of Kharkiv, damaging multistory residential buildings, the private sector, disconnected contact network lines, and disrupted a gas pipeline, but no casualties were reported.

No casualties were recorded in the Shevchenko district either, reported Terekhov, while Sinegubov noted damage had been caused to an apartment building and parked cars.

A private residential building was destroyed in the Saltivskyi district as a result of a strike, which caused a fire and collapsed buildings at the scene, reported Terekhov.

Another private house was completely destroyed in the Slobidsky district of Kharkiv, reported Terekhov, noting that one person was injured, but there may be others trapped under the rubble, and later Sinegubov reported that another person had sought medical attention.

Kharkiv State Emergency Services noted they attended fires which had damaged the structures of two private houses in the Saltivskyi district, as well as a car and garage in the Slobidskyi district.

Four people had sought help this morning as a result of the strikes last night, reported Sinegubov initially, but more began to come forward, initially increasing to five, then to seven injuries, but the final total revealed was 16 people injured in Kharkiv during the attack, including a 7-year-old girl.

Three people, including a 13-year-old boy, suffered acute stress reactions as a result of a drone strike in Rai-Olenivka, reported Sinegubov, noting that both were provided with medical assistance.
