Emergency State Services noted that several fires broke out in Kherson city and one person was injured as a result of yesterday’s attacks by Russia.
Fires broke out in a one-story and a two-story apartment residential building at two separate addresses, but the rescuers arrived promptly at the scenes and extinguished the fires despite the threat of repeated attacks, but a woman was injured and admitted to hospital.
An attack today on the Central District of Kherson with a drone resulted in shattered windows of a dormitory, but thankfully there were no casualties, and staff from the Kherson Regional Communal Emergency and Rescue Service were working on the scene to assist those who had homes damaged.
Videos from Kherson were published this morning following an artillery strike on the residential sector, showing destroyed shops, buildings, and an educational institution, while there were also fires at the impact sites which were promptly extinguished.
An elderly woman suffered an explosive injury and lost part of her leg as a result of a hit from the attack, and was admitted to hospital where doctors were providing the woman with all the necessary medical assistance.
Head of the Regional State Administration Olexandr Prokudin noted that a 45-year-old man picked up a drone from off the ground, which exploded in his hands, and as a result he sustained injuries that were incompatible with life.
Prokudin reported that 28 districts and Kherson city itself had been subject to various forms of attack in the previous day, resulting in damage to 5 multi-story buildings and 13 private homes, while also vandalising a theatre building, a warehouse and private cars.
As a result of the attacks, 1 person had been killed and 7 others were injured, including a child.
