Ukraine was keen to continue their retaliation for the damage to the power infrastructure, as Russia refused a ceasefire yesterday that was put forward during the recent negotiations, and this time Bryansk’s energy supply in Russia’s Bryansk Oblast was the target.
Neptune missiles and Himars targeted the energy infrastructure and disrupted supply to the region, reported Governor Alexander Bogomaz.
Bryansk borders Ukraine’s Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts, and has been the subject of various Ukrainian strikes in recent months.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked our region using long-range Neptune missiles and HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems,” said Bogomaz, adding: “As a result of the attack, power supply was disrupted in seven municipalities – special emergency teams were working to restore the supply.”
Ukraine’s military were still to confirm the attack this morning, and claims by the Governor couldn’t be independently verified by Ukrainian media, while Russian media tend to hide a lot of information so it doesn’t give feedback to the Ukrainian forces.
