KHARKIV MORNING REPORT – Oct 21

Multiple people were injured over the past day in the Kharkiv region as Russia attacked with KAB bombs, strike UAVs and FPV drones, as well as heavy artillery, causing damage to cities and communities as a result.

Head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov said that it was likely a KAB bomb that struck the city and caused shock reactions (acute stress) for men aged 63 and 48, as well as women aged 45, 47, 50, 61, 67 and 76-years-old as well as others later updated by emergency services.

Later, Syniehubov updated that another two men aged 48 and 47, as well as two women aged 63 and 66, had sought medical help for acute stress reactions from the attack.

Kharkiv city mayor Terekhov confirmed that hits were recorded in two districts of the city as the Russian Federation delivered six KAB strikes across the city, later adding that at least fifteen private houses were damaged as a result of the strikes, while eleven people suffered stress reactions due to the hits on the Industrial district of the city and the Nemishliansky districts.

Terekhov confirmed this morning that the attacks also resulted in damages to the gas networks as well as the City Light networks, and specialists were working on sites to eliminate the consequences.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Syniehubov reported that a strike on Polody in the Kurylivka community also resulted in an injury to a 65-year-old man.

According to AMK Mapping, Kharkiv suffered at least five impacts in the region of the TEC-5 Power Plant, while a secondary target had also been hit, adding that it appeared the KABs had been launched in waves of two with both hitting each target at the same time.
