At least one person was killed and another injured following Russian attacks on the region, according to head of the Regional Military Administration Oleg Synehubov, clarifying that a 58-year-old man was killed and an 83-year-old woman was injured in Zelenyi Hai of the Velykoburlutsk community, while adding that damage had been caused to four private houses, a workshop, two tractors and a car.
Railway infrastructure and a non-residential building were damaged as a result of targeted attacks on the Chuhuiv district, while a private house, garage and utility building were damaged in Petropavlivka of the Chuhuiv district, as Russia launched 10 strikes according to the city’s mayor Halyna Minayeva, adding that some neighbourhoods were left without electricity.
Russians struck the Shevchenkove area of Kupiansk with Lancet and Gerber-2 drones, according to head of the settlement Military Administration Serhii Starikov, adding that damage was caused to a cultural centre and power lines as a result of the attack.
An unidentified drone attacked a car near Horoza in Kupiansk, added Starikov, while Synehubov later reported that two warehouses suffered damage as a result of a Russian attack on Derhachi.
Russian forces attacked Ukrainian unit positions 18 times in the South-Slobozhansky direction, while seven assaults were repelled in the Kupiansk direction around the areas of Pishchane, Petropavlivka and in the direction of Kupiansk.
Synehubov clarified that Russia used 17 Geran-2 UAVs, 2 Lancet UAVs, 1 Molniya UAV, 2 FPV drones and 1 undetermined UAV, as well as heavy artillery and MLRS shells, to cause damage or destruction to civil and social infrastructure.
