During the night of February 10, Russian drones attacked the energy infrastructure in the Izmail district of the region, leaving several communities without power.
According to the Head of the Regional State Administration Oleg Kiper, damage to an energy facility and an administrative building had been recorded, but no information was provided about casualties.
This morning the most difficult situation was in the city of Kilia, as more than 95,000 people in a total of 42 settlements were reported to be without electricity.
Kiper noted that assistance from the State Emergency Services was sent to the south of the region, which included 7 powerful generators for critical infrastructure, along with 8 thermal guns for heating premises, and 5 field kitchens, while adding that emergency shelters were also operating.
DTEK later clarified that their energy facility had been attacked in the region, adding that the damage caused had been significant, but repair teams were already working to restore equipment.
