Last night Russia used kamikaze drones two districts of the region, resulting in damage to four private residential houses, six outbuildings and power lines in the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk.
Another attack resulted in a blaze in a five-floor apartment building which also engulfed nearby shops and damaged a cultural centre, while social media posts circulated showing the local ATB store as shoppers tried to get to safety, however all fires were promptly extinguished and there were no reported casualties.
An attack yesterday evening on the DTEK mine and nearby substation resulted in a near-catastrophe, as 192 miners who were working at the time ended up trapped after the attack, and its noted to be the fourth massive large-scale attack on DTEK’s coal mining facilities within two months.
Later it was reported that all the miners had been returned to the surface and had escaped injury, although some German media outlets had stated that one employee along with their child may have been injured in the attack.
