Mykolaiv: Series of attacks reported using drones and missiles on the Mykolaiv region
➡️ Mykolaiv State Emergency Services (DSNS) said that Russia launched a series of attacks using drones and missiles yesterday and this morning, targeting civilian and energy infrastructure.
🔹 According to the DSNS, a drone damaged a supermarket and a warehouse in the city of Mykolaiv, causing a fire to break out, but no reported casualties.
🔹 The city was also targeted with missiles, which resulted in an energy infrastructure being impacted, while the windows of three apartment buildings, an administrative building, and a car, noting that a fire also broke out which had been extinguished, but there were no casualties.
🔹 Russia struck energy infrastructure in the Mykolaiv district too with a missile, but no damage reports or fires were reported, and emergency services responded promptly to all reported incidents.
➡️ Suspilne clarified this morning that the energy infrastructure that was impacted in the region was struck with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, not a Banderol missile, as previously reported by acting head of the region Georgiy Reshetilov, adding that Russia also attacked the Halitsyn community in the early hours with guided aerial bombs, but no injuries were reported.
🔹 The Mykolaiv Regional Administration confirmed this morning that a supermarket and warehouse had been damaged in the city due to Shahed drone strikes, but the attacks didn’t result in casualties, adding that the Army also attacked the regional centre with cruise missiles.
🔹 Russia targeted the Mykolaiv district energy infrastructure with the Iskander-M missile with no injures reported, as well as targeting the Ochakiv community twice with FPV drones, again without casualties, and no injures were caused during a Molniya drone attack on the Gorokhov community, Suspilne reported.
➡️ Pro-Ukrainian mapper AMK issued regular updates throughout the evening, summarising that as of 3am local time, Russia had used 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles, 4 KAB glide-bombs, 4 S8000 Banderol cruise missiles, 6 Geran-4 jet drones, 8 Geran-2 jet drones.
🔹 AMK said that KABs and Iskander-M’s impacted in/near the towns of Halytsynove and Trykhatky, while the drones and Banderols targeted Mykolaiv city itself, and by 4:30am local time, another 4 Geran-4 jet drones reportedly targeted Mykolaiv City.
🔹 Just as dawn arrived, at 7:30 local time, at least five banderol cruise missiles observed flying to Mykolaiv city, with explosions heard soon after, and footage of a fire burning after the Banderol impacts was being shared by Ukrainian channels.
🔹 Summarising the night, AMK said at least 2 Iskander-M’s, 4 UMPK-5 jet-powered KAB glide bombs, 10 S800 Banderol cruise missiles, 10 Geran-4 jet drones and 8 Geran-2 drones were used in the various attacks, targeting energy infrastructure, and causing large fires to break out after the strikes.
