⚡️ Having set about a campaign of stealing livestock and causing havoc among Palestinian communities within the West Bank, Israeli settlers called on the support of the IDF and Border Police soldiers to several locations in the area of Huwara, according to an IDF statement, claiming the soldiers operated to remove the Israeli civilians and the livestock from the area and to prevent confrontation.

🔹 According to the statement, a number of rioters arrived in the area and violent confrontations broke out between settlers and Palestinians, involving the hurling of rocks and the use of batons, adding that the IDF were aware of the ‘claim that several Palestinians were injured.’
🔹 Soldiers were deployed to disperse gatherings using riot dispersal means, the statement continued, claiming the disturbances were dispersed and the forces remained in the area to prevent further public disorder, adding that an investigation into the incident had been opened by the Judea and Samaria District Police.
🔹 The IDF said they strongly condemned violence of any kind that undermined security in the area that diverted the attention of commanders and soldiers from their operational duties of protecting the area and conducting counterterrorism activities.
🔹 According to the statement, the IDF were aware of footage showing an IDF soldier using force against a Palestinian, claiming the actions depicted in the footage were a serious and were inconsistent with the values of the IDF, noting the incident was under review, but once the solider is identified, he will be subjected to disciplinary proceedings, along with appropriate command and disciplinary measures.
What happened?
🔹 On Saturday morning, crowds of Israeli settlers turned up at various locations around Nablus in the West Bank, intent on causing havoc among the Palestinian residents and stealing livestock, but when things became too heated, the settlers called on support from the IDF and the Border Police forces.
🔹 Footage and commentary from Quds News in relation to the attacks that occurred showed homes in the town of Huwara being attacked as settlers made their way into the outskirts of the town.
🔹 CCTV captured unexpected footage of Israeli settlers being watched by an Israeli soldier as they severely beat two Palestinians, clubbing one with a bat and causing the man to fall instantly, before leaving them for dead, and the subsequent Red Crescent paramedic who attended despite nearby disturbances still happening clearly appeared fearful.
🔹 Israeli settlers also set fire to vehicles and land owned by Palestinians as they continued to make their way through Huwara.
🔹 Other footage began to circulate in the afternoon of Israeli settlers attempting to steal sheep during an attack on the village of Einabus, south of Nablus.
🔹 Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces appeared to be preparing for an operation in the village of Rujeib, east of Nablus.
🔹 The Palestinian Red Crescent reported a total of nine Palestinians were injured in clashes with Israeli settlers in Huwara, during allegations and footage of violence during unrest in the area.
