Yesterday morning (February 26), a video began to circulate on Odessa Telegram channels of a representative of the TCC allegedly firing a shot in one of the streets.
In the afternoon, the Odessa Regional TCC and the Joint Forces commented on the incident, noting that it was an internal conflict between servicemen and a shot had been fired from a starting pistol, according to the Press Service of the Odessa Regional TCC and SP.
According to the department, the incident occurred on February 26 during the work of the alert group on Chornomorskogo Cossack Street, when a conflict arose between two servicemen, which as noted in the centre, was of an internal nature.
During the argument, one of the servicemen fired a shot into the air from a noise device, an Erma starter pistol with a blank cartridge, so the TCC emphasised that no service weapons had been used, and there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
The TCC also stated that the information spread on the internet about the alleged ‘shooting of people who were fleeing’ is not true – the authors of the messages noted that the video showed a man in military uniform firing a shot, and before that two people were detained – the TCC and SP consider such messages manipulative.
According to the regional TCC and the Joint Service, an inspection was conducted on the servicemen, their behaviour was found to violate the requirements of military discipline, and those responsible were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
The video has since been removed from the channel that originally posted it.
