An attack by the Russian forces on the Sumy community on the morning of February 10 resulted in a 12-year-old girl and her 9-year-old brother suffering injuries, but their lives were not in danger, reported the Sumy OVA.
“Medics are providing the children with the necessary medical assistance and hospitalising them for further examination,” wrote the Head of the Sumy Regional Administration, clarifying the attack happened in the Velikochernyshchynskyi district.
Later, it was revealed that the wounded 12-year-old girl was in the hospital undergoing surgery with her mother, while an 8-year-old boy was in a state of severe stress, as the debris was cleared at the scene of the attack by relevant services.
Around 11am, a Molniya-2 drone struck a children’s playground in Stetskivtski, reported the head of the village Yuriy Lysenko, stating that the drone carried explosive items, meaning the strike resulted in windows of several private homes being damaged, but no casualties caused.
Russia struck a garbage truck in Verkhniy Pishchany that was going about its daily business on their usual schedule, said the director of A-Musson, Alexey Oliynik, noting that the workers were already refusing to operate in the Pishchany and Stetskiva area for their own safety.
An attack with an FPV drone on a car at around 15:20 in the Krasnopil community killed a 61-year-old male driver, reported the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the Acting Head of the Krasnopil Village Council, Irina Yukhta, the security situation in the community is currently very difficult because of the Russian attacks, which also affects public connections, or road clearances, due to the threat of Russian strikes.
