Donetsk situational update for January 25

Russia attacked the energy infrastructure in the city of Kramatorsk last night with Geran-2 drones.

Several strikes were carried out at the Kramatorsk-City 110kV substation, and the Ondytsioner 110kV substation, resulting in large fires breaking out and emergency power outages implemented for large parts of Kramatorsk and their surrounding areas to allow for repair work to take place.

Two victims were reported in the Sloviansk area following an attack by drones, reported the Head of the City Administration Vadim Lakh, and the press service of the Ukrainian police.

According to the spokesperson for the Regional Prosecutor’s office in Donbass, it was clarified that two girls aged 15 and 16 received explosive injuries and concussions when the FPV drone struck Sloviansk at 16:15 in the evening.

An attack was launched by Russia on the critical infrastructure of Kramatorsk at 22:30 last night, striking with a Geran-2 drone, which didn’t result in any damage or casualty reports.

Russia also launched three attacks on Kramatorsk in the early hours of this morning, hitting the city and its surroundings with guided bombs and drones, reported the Donetsk police, noting that a Russian FPV also hit the Mykoaliv community, and a person had been injured as a result of an attack on January 23.

At 05:38 this morning, Russia launched strikes on the private sector of Kramatorsk with three FAB-250 bombs, reported the Head of the City Administration Goncharenko, noting there were no casualties, but 44 residential buildings had been damaged.

Russia launched an attack using a Smerch multiple rocket launcher system at Druzhkivka earlier this morning, resulting in a 78-year-old pensioner receiving fatal injuries, while three more residents aged 47, 60 and 66 received shrapnel wounds, mine-explosive injuries, and traumatic foot amputations, according to the Donetsk Prosecutor’s Office, adding that several apartment buildings had been damaged.
