24 Hours In Donetsk – 22-Jan Update

A woman was killed following an attack by the Russian army on the Kramatorsk community, reported head of the Kramatorsk Municipal Police Department Alexander Goncharenko.

According to Goncharenko, a woman born in 1944 was also receiving medical attention at a local hospital following the attack, as the private sector of one of the city’s microdistricts came under fire.

At least three dozen private residential buildings, a multi-story building and a store had been damaged.

Donetsk State Emergency Services noted that rescuers had to clear more than 700kg of debris in order to recover the woman from under it, while constantly being shelled by the Russian forces.

Russia attacked Druzhkivka with an FPV drone around noon, resulting in one person being killed and another injured, according to reports from the spokesperson for the Donetsk Prosecutor’s Office Anastasia Medvedeva.

Medvedeva also confirmed that half an hour later, a second strike with the same weaponry resulted in a local resident suffering a mine-explosive injury.

Russia attacked Kramatorsk last night with Geran-2 drones, damaging at least 12 homes, reported the Head of the Community Honcharenko.

More than 10,000 apartments and nearly 200 multi-story buildings were reported to be without heating in the city of Alchevsk by the Luhansk Regional State Administration, noting that there is only one boiler house operating in the city which cannot provide heat to the entire city due to its emergency condition.

Donetsk Police reported that 3 KAB-250 aerial bombs were dropped on Kramatorsk over the past 24 hours, damaging 235 private homes, a store and three cars, while strikes were also carried out on Druzhkivka, Mykolaivka, Shabelivka, and the village of Dobropillia.
