Developing Story: Three people were killed and 31 injured, including 7 children, with at least seven people currently in hospital with varying degrees of injury, while others were attended to and are being dealt with on an outpatients basis, according to Tkachenko.
Firefighters had barely extinguished the fires of the attack from the night of October 25 at around 23:30, announcing that a clean-up operation was about to begin in relation to the debris, as alerts began to ring in the Kyiv region for incoming drones.
Drones had taken off earlier in the evening from Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Krasnodar Krai, flying a long course to Kyiv through Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad and Cherkasy (with some heading off towards the Kaniv TPP in Cherkasy), before making their way into the Kyiv region.
Attacks were registered in four locations of the residential districts of Desnianskyi, Obolonskyi, and Darnytskyi throughout the night.
Desnianskyi district recorded the worst attacks when a drone hit a 9-story building and destroyed floors between levels, causing at least 3 people to be killed, while another 26 had been injured, including 5 children.
Among those who had died were a mother and her 19-year-old daughter, who rescuers had been searching the site to find, and located them in an apartment bathroom where they had attempted to hide from the fire damage, only to die from inhaling the smoke.
Videos surfaced shortly after the attack showing people crying for help, others showed people jumping from balconies to escape the fire, as residents reported that flames on a stairway were blocking their exit and they had no alternative but to jump or to wait and be rescued.
In another location of the district a 16-story building was damaged, with apartments heavily damaged and windows blown out, while at least 5 were injured here, including two children, and the youngest was reported to have been four-years-old.
A second kindergarten in two days was also damaged with more than 70 windows broken in the facility, while the window blocks had been broken both in rooms and in doors.
Damage was caused to a vehicle in the private residential sector of Darnytskyi, while a drone damaged a multi-story building in Obolonskyi, but there were no casualties reported here and no fire found at the scene by rescuers.
