Police were conducting measures to expose a 39-year-old resident of the Dnistrovskyi district in the village of Mamalyga, who was wanted for committing a crime against the established procedure for military service, as several unknown persons blocked the movement of a service vehicle and took active actions to resist the lawful demands of the police.
In order to stop the illegal actions and unblock traffic, an employee of the Bukovina police special unit fired warning shots into the air from a service firearm – no one was injured as a result of the incident.
Following this fact, the leadership of the Main Police Department initiated an official inspection and a legal assessment will also be made of the actions of the citizens who obstructed the lawful activities of law enforcement officers.
